"We are Chartered Building Surveyors with a business in Marlborough and have recently completed the construction of our new house,and wanted a genuine limestone tiled floor throughout the ground floor, as well as different limestones, travertine and slates in other areas of the house to finish walls and fireplaces.

After meeting with LW Vince to show them our tile collection and discuss our wishes we were confident that they could deliver to our requirements.

Our project had a few complexities as we had underfloor heating within a liquid applied screed. We had read that this would require careful preparation, the laying of a decoupling membrane and additional movement joints throughout.

Leo helped investigate this and came up with a solution to ensure the flooring would last a lifetime. Over the ground floor alone, Leo laid a total of 190m squared limestone tiles ensuring that the pattern continued perfectly throughout. The floor is level and joint spacing consistent with colour matching grout and movement joints at every doorway. The floor is beautiful.

Leo’s skill also paid dividends when it came to quantities which were tight and there wasn’t room for wastage as it simply wouldn’t be possible to acquire any more of the same.

He took to the task with no fuss or complaints and just got on with it. He arrived at our site as arranged, and stayed with us until the job was complete. His flexibility to suit our needs and dedication to our project was superb.
